In 1938, JP Marais distilled the first drop of Klipdrift Brandy. Marais was known to be a generous man and shared the first batch with his family and friends. Once the drink hit their lips they fell in love with the rich, delicious brandy. Today, the brandy continues to be made the same way just like it was in 1938.
